Money Management Skills

Do you want to learn how to manage your money better? From earning some extra money from a side hustle to saving money when shopping online or booking a holiday, we've got your everyday money management skills covered. Our online, self-paced course will teach you essential money management skills with one-on-one feedback from a personal finance and investment expert. How does the course work? The course is fully online, self-paced to fit around existing commitments and can be started anytime. Each week includes a short video and a practical (but theoretical!) task, taking around an hour in total. The course material is delivered via your online account on our website and we're on hand to answer any questions. We are a licensed Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for skills section of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Once you’ve completed the course, we will complete your personalised assessor’s report and submit this directly on your eDofE account. Don't worry, you'll also receive a copy of the report and a certificate of achievement. What does the course cover? You’ll learn a range of money management skills, including how to: • Be a savvy shopper that gets the best price. • Earn some extra money from a side hustle. • Choose the best bank accounts and credit cards. • Create a budget and set your financial goals. • Buy a property, own a car and what you need to know about your first job. • Save money on everyday costs, including mobile phone contracts. • Invest in the stock market and how ISAs work (if you're particularly interested in the investment side of things, we run a separate course on investing).
